Looking for where to go for ice cream and dessert near Blackfoot, ID? Blackfoot, ID has numerous delicious dessert places that are a perfect stop as you explore the town or head into the mountains for a drive. Check out some of our favorites spots below.

1. Paisley Cakes

This bakery is well-known for catering weddings but they also have a sweet shop that welcomes walk-ins. Their shop is fully stocked with cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and baked goods that are available for purchase daily. We recommend the chocolate-dipped Oreos, the mini cheesecakes, and the cannolis. They also have assorted cookies for sale that make a great to-go snack as you explore the town.

2. The Sodamix

This bakery is sure to please the cookie lovers in the family. They sell the classic cookie flavors like sugar and chocolate chip, but also have unique flavors like coconut lime, chocolate oreo, fruity pebbles, and s’more for the more adventurous members of the group. If you’re craving a cold treat, they have local scoops available in flavors like cookies and cream, caramel brownie, mint chocolate chip, bubblegum, and more.

3. Downtown Bread Co.

This locally owned bakery is situated in historic downtown Blackfoot and has been serving up treats since 2006. This is the perfect one-stop shop for the entire family. Along with their delicious bread, they serve pastries, cookies, and brownies.

Our favorite thing about this place is the waffle cones that are handmade in their bakery. They make the perfect base for a variety of delicious ice cream flavors. However, no stop to Downtown Bread Co would be complete without picking up a couple of their huge cinnamon rolls.

4. Mudslingers

This place does dessert drinks right. This coffee cafe serves both caffeinated and non-caffeinated shakes that are the perfect escape from the summer heat. Coffee lovers can go crazy here with their large selection of dessert frappes with the option of real candy mix-ins.

Our favorite is the namesake Mudslinger Frappe, which is a heavenly mix of espresso, whipped cream, milk, and chocolate/caramel sauce with a chocolate/caramel drizzle. For the kiddos or non-coffee lovers, we recommend the frozen hot chocolate, Hawaiian shaved ice, or Italian cream slush.

5. Candy Jar

If decadent milkshakes or frappes don’t appeal, take a visit to the Candy Jar. This candy shop makes its own fudge but also promotes products from other local businesses. They sell handmade chocolates, cones, popcorn, candy bars, and more from other companies to help support the small business community in Idaho.

Stop in to see their daily flavors of fresh fudge. You can buy four pieces and get two free! Everyone in the family can make a bag of his/her favorite assorted candies and you will be ready to hit the road.

Once you are stocked with sweets, swing by Tadd Jenkins Ford to see our large inventory of new and used vehicles. Take a test drive around our historic town and find the perfect family car to last for many summer trips to come.
