No significant upgrades from 2021 have taken place. However, they have added three new shades to their line up to give you even more variety!
Engine
The Ford Escape has a standard 181 horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine. You can also upgrade to the 250-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder for even more powerful performance.
Hybrid Options
This is one of our favorites, Ford also offers two 2022 Escape’s that are hybrid! They are ran by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that bring an impressive 221-hp.
Fuel Economy
With the Ford Escape’s standard engine, you can expect a respectable 30 mpg. On the larger engine, you can expect to get 26mpg. With the hybrid engine, the EPA estimates a city/highway combined 40mpg!
Safety
The 2022 Ford Escape gets a 5 star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Ford boasts it’s Co-Pilot 360 on every Escape, which is loaded with driver-assistance features. Prominent features include lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, automated emergency braking, and more!
