Currently, Salt Lake City is bidding to host the 2030 Winter Olympics!
The University of Utah also resides in Salt Lake City. The University was first named the University of Dessert when it was founded in 1850. Forty-two years later, however, the name was changed to the University of Utah. The University of Utah has the lowest public school tuition in the state. This makes it desirable for over 35,000 students who attend! Many University of Utah students come from and live in nearby towns, like Provo (Home to BYU), Ogden and Logan, UT.
