2022 Ford F-350 SuperDuty
The 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup truck is ready to serve whenever you need as much power as possible. A high-strength steel chassis, aluminum bodywork, a generous choice of gasoline or diesel V-8 engines, and more set the F-350 apart. For the 2022 model year, the F-350 Lariat Black Appearance option replaces the Sport Appearance package. Adaptive steering is available on the XL and XLT versions, and a bed step is now included with the majority of trims.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited are the six trim levels offered on the 2022 Ford F-350. Most models have a gigantic front end with a bit of bling and chrome, as well as quad headlights, emphasizing the vehicle's sturdy construction. Lariat models and up look extra stylish, from the more rustic but appointed King Ranch to the decked-out Limited.
The F-350 XL comes with a black grille, bumpers, and trim, as well as front tow hooks and 17-inch steel wheels, while the XLT, Lariat, and King Ranch come with 18-inch steel wheels. 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and body-colored bumpers are standard on the Platinum and Limited trim levels. A panoramic sunroof is an option across the range on Crew Cab vehicles, and it comes standard on the Limited trim.
Engine (Power)
On the 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty, a 6.2-liter gasoline V-8 engine (385 horsepower, 430 pound-feet of torque) comes as a standard. Optional engines include a 7.3-liter gas V-8 (430 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque) and a turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel V-8 (475 horsepower, 1,050 pound-feet of torque). All engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive is available.
Performance
In terms of capability, the F-350 is a more noticeable increase in power over the F-250 than the latter is over the F-150. Drivers who need raw power will have it, especially in the right configuration. The standard 6.2-liter V-8 with a six-speed automatic scores roughly 15 mpg on the highway. Single-rear-wheel (SRW) and dual-rear-wheel (DRW) rear axles are available on the F-350. The 2022 F-350 also offers best-in-class towing capacity at up to 21,200 pounds (35,750 pounds using a gooseneck).
Interior
The F-350's Regular Cab can accommodate three people and up to six in the SuperCab and Crew Cab. The entry-level models have work-ready vinyl upholstery, whilst the mid-level versions have several upscale choices. The basic entertainment system includes Bluetooth connectivity, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and the basic Ford SYNC software. The base model does not have an infotainment screen, but other models include a 4.2-inch touch screen, SiriusXM, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration. Navigation is included standard from the King Ranch and upward.
The front seat offers an impressive amount of head and leg room. While the SuperCab and Crew Cab have nearly identical rear headroom, the extra rear headroom in the Crew Cab makes it ideal for bigger families that ride together.
Safety Features
With all versions of the F-350, electronic stability and roll stability control systems, anti-lock brakes, front, side, and overhead airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and a security system come included. Automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist, and pre-collision avoidance are also standard.
